Rachael Schmidt

Rachael Schmidt has been an ACS member for almost 15 years and is the current CAZ ACS Secretary. Rachael graduated from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Chemistry in 2007, then went to Grand Canyon University to obtain an M.S. in Chemistry in 2019.

She has been employed at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University for the last seven years and is currently an Assistant Professor of Chemistry. Rachael teaches freshmen and junior level courses on general chemistry, forensic chemistry, and toxicology. Prior to teaching at ERAU, she worked at the Arizona Department of Public Safety for over six years as a Forensic Chemist focusing on alcohol, toxicology, and solid drug analysis.
