Dr. Kimberly Horsley

Alternate Councilor

Kimberly earned a B.S. in Biology, B.S. in Chemistry, and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her PhD focused on using photon and electron spectroscopy to study the chemical and electronic properties of photovoltaic materials in the chalcogenide class. She then spent time as a postdoctoral fellow at the Hawaii Natural Energy Institute synthesizing chalcopyrite solar cells for photoelectrochemical applications, before moving to Phoenix, Arizona. She is currently an instructor of chemistry at Grand Canyon University in the College of Science Engineering and Technology.​
