Award Overview

The CAZACS Outstanding Undergraduate in Chemistry award is an accolade presented to a deserving undergraduate student who has demonstrated exceptional excellence in the field of chemistry. This award recognizes outstanding achievements, contributions, and dedication to the study and practice of chemistry at the undergraduate level.


  • Cash Prize: $100

  • 1-year Student (Undergraduate) Membership for ACS ($25)

  • Recognition at the Annual CAZACS Banquet

  • Certificate of Achievement

Nominee Requirements

  • Full-Time undergraduate student at a College/University located in the Central Arizona Local Section region

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate level program for chemistry, chemical engineering, or other chemistry related field

  • Must be in good academic standing
